Incentives

FPSC provides incentive compensation to family physicians to support aspects of longitudinal family practice.

This includes panel management, preventative care, chronic disease management, complex care planning, patient telephone management, and conferencing with other providers. In addition, FPSC supports family physicians to provide care in priority areas such as in-hospital, long-term care facilities, maternity, mental health, and palliative care.

Fees

FPSC fees are available to BC’s eligible family physicians to help improve the delivery of patient care by supporting and providing guideline-informed care in areas such as chronic disease management, maternity care, mental health, and care for the frail and elderly.

Health System Redesign

The Health System Redesign (HSR) compensates physicians for participation in acute and community-based health projects within a health authority or the health authority component of a provincial or inter-health authority project.
