BC physicians have one of the highest EMR adoption rates in the country. Ninety-four percent (3,542) of full-service family practice GPs are on an EMR and and 100% of those in large clinics (six or more physicians) are now practicing using an EMR in their day-to-day practice.
On April 1st, the Practice Support Program (PSP) will start to implement changes to its evolving service delivery model.
After much collaboration with Divisions of Family Practice and health authority Regional Support Team (RST) leadership, the PSP’s service delivery model now aims to offer more flexibility and increased partnerships while continuing to enrich the quality of patient care. All PSP services will continue to develop as learned from these partnerships.
The Practice Support Program (PSP) is excited to share an update on its evolving service delivery model.
PSP originally launched in 2007 with a goal of providing module support to physicians and, over the years, PSP has continually refined its goals and services to better align with the developing needs of physicians and BC’s health care system.
In late April 2014, more than 200 participants gathered at the Westin Wall Centre in Richmond, BC in the second of two provincial sessions for the new Practice Support Program (PSP) Pain Management learning module.
