While Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, and Boxing Day are not statutory holidays in BC, they will be considered to be holidays for the purposes of staffing the After Hours Care Program; i.e. they will be staffed 24 hours.
When a statutory holiday falls on the weekend, in health care, there is the expectation that it will be observed on the following Monday. On these days, the service will staff 24 hours--these are marked as "Day in lieu" on the tables below.
