Family physicians working in teams, including physicians who are part of primary care networks, are encouraged to participate to learn more about both MSP fees and GPSC incentives that support team-based care.

Led by physician educators, the 90-minute webinar will review:

Eligible family physicians (FPs) are reminded to submit the GPSC Portal (G14070) or GPSC Locum Portal Code (G14071) at the start of the new year.

The submission of G14070 signifies that a FP is:

Update: January 21, 2020
Eligible family doctors who provide maternity care and in-hospital care received retroactive payments on their January 15, 2020 remittance statement for the rate increases introduced by the GPSC last year. Retroactive payments are identified by adjustment code “80.” The MSP system has been updated with the new rates since December 2019. The rate increases have been paid retroactively to April 1, 2019.

Family doctors are invited to join a four-part webinar series about billing GPSC fees to:

• Increase confidence when billing GPSC incentives.
• Better support appropriate billing.
• Improve understanding about fee rules.
• Not miss billing for additional services.

Based on physician feedback, the GPSC and SGP are expanding their series from new-to-practice to all family doctors and their MOAs. The webinars were first presented to new-to-practice GPs in winter 2018 and spring 2019.

The GPSC has made the following changes to its Panel Management Workbook and Panel Development Incentive claim forms that are effective June 10, 2019:

Team-based care offers many benefits for family doctors throughout BC. Having access to other health care providers to help with patient care can free up doctors to the work they love to do, including to focus on medical diagnoses and patient relationships, while ensuring patients get timely access to continuous, coordinated primary care.
